Construction

Weight has been removed where it is felt most, while retaining the stiff frame required for high-performance power and control. By moving the three upper batten sections forward, swing weight in the leech is minimized for a freer, more responsive sail head. Optimized reinforcements and material choices provide a superior strength-to-weight ratio that resists stretching – even after a full season of racing. Designed with Swiss precision and tested by PATRIK's R&D team, it delivers durability that equally lightweight "disposable sails" simply cannot match.

New in Gen2

Completely redesigned and re-sized series, now with a more complete range up to 9.2 m². Reworked outline with 4–5 cm higher clew position for more power, better upwind performance, and a larger trim range. Wider upper clew for better efficiency and more locked-in power transfer. New clew ring system with more trim options and more direct load distribution. Updated profile and batten specification for more consistent performance across the entire wind range. Reworked materials and construction for better balance, easier handling, and improved feel.

Usage

Competitive slalom and speed sailors who want a low centre of gravity for easy handling – keeps the nose down even in the strongest gusts without sacrificing power or control. Works equally well for long-distance races like Defi Wind (good at all angles, continues to accelerate even in lulls) and for pure speed sailing, where the sail provides great acceleration and top speed, as well as many trim options via the clew holes.

“The difference with Generation 2 is massive. The sail is noticeably lighter and more stable; riding the 6.4 feels like handling a 5.8 in terms of weight. It's an exceptional choice for long-distance events like the Defi Wind because it performs across all angles, particularly on reaches and upwind legs. Even in wind lulls, the sail continues to accelerate—it's incredible. Plus, the camber rotation is so smooth it feels as effortless as a freeride sail. Start with the middle clew eyelet for the best balance of power and control on a slalom course.”
