The mast supports the sail and affects how it feels in the wind: how light it is, how stable it is, and how it reacts in gusts. Carbon fiber content: 60, 80, or 100%
- 100%:lowest weight and highest stiffness. For sailors who want a light and responsive mast, from racing to powerful freeride. Mast RDM 100%and Mast SDM 100%.
- 80%:high stiffness at a good price, a powerful mid-range. Mast RDM 80%is suitable for both wave and freeride, Mast SDM 80%larger freeride and slalom sails.
- 60%:a good balance between price and performance. Mast RDM 60%is a smart choice for beginners, school sailors, and casual sailing.
RDM or SDM?
RDM and SDM are two different mast diameters, and the mast must match the sail. The SDM series' 20 cm length system allows you to choose the length according to stiffness, with interchangeable SDM bases, tops, and extensions, for example X-Tendor SDM(XT-40 and XT-60).
For children and youth
Kids Mast RDM(240, 300, and 330 cm) is optimized for children, youth, and sailors under 60 kg. It is not recommended for wave sailing.
