Aluminium or carbon?
- Papa Boards 3-piece aluminium paddle: aluminium shaft and stiff nylon blade. A robust entry-level paddle that provides a stiff feel in the water and is suitable for beginners and family paddling.
- Papa Boards 3-piece Carbon/Composite paddle: carbon/composite shaft with nylon blade. The same adjustment range but a stiff and light feel in the water, for those who paddle a lot.
Both have a medium-sized all-round blade that suits most paddlers.
Right length
A rule of thumb is that the paddle should reach approximately 20–30 cm above your own height when you stand up. Since these paddles are adjustable, you can fine-tune the length according to your height and type of paddling.
