CONSTRUCTION

Ease of use but in a "PATRIK" way. This means that we don't cut any corner in the construction materials selected for our Freeride range. It's not a cheap material sail at all!
The luff panel is a 2.5 MIL x/scrim-ply which still inflates gently but is more robust and higher load resistant compared to the dacron.
The sail bottom part is made of 5 MIL x-ply material to give good protection against impacts without compromising the weight too much. The main window is a solid and thick 5 MIL monofilm which provides best combo between visibility, impact resistance and weight. All these things should still be combined with a good shape stability, which is a key factor in this area (main power of the sail). For the top part of the sail, we chose a 4 MIL blue tinted monofilm, which is lighter and adds UV-resistance where you don't need to see through.
As a further bonus, we chose a clear 5 MIL x-ply and blue 5 MIL x-ply along leech and top panel, to add a touch of wear resistance to the area which is always stressed while rigging and rolling the sail.

TRIM

The RideFR is an easy freeride machine. We have put our optical indicators for the right amount of tension on the batten pockets. So just make sure you reach the suggested minimum downhaul at all times which the sail top to release pressure in the gusts. This will give you a smooth ride in choppy conditions and even more control and top speed.

Construction

Easy to use, but in the "PATRIK way" - we don't skimp on materials in our freeride range. The luff is 2.5 MIL x/scrim-ply that still inflates softly but is more robust and load-resistant than dacron. The sail base is 5 MIL x-ply for good impact protection without adding too much weight. The main window is a solid and thick 5 MIL monofilm for the best balance between visibility, impact resistance, and weight.

For the upper part of the sail, a 4 MIL blue-tinted monofilm is used for lower weight and UV protection. As an added bonus, we have chosen clear 5 MIL x-ply and blue 5 MIL x-ply along the leech and top panel for extra durability in areas that are always stressed during rigging and rolling up.

Trim

The Ride FR is an easy-to-trim freeride machine. Optical indicators on the batten pockets show the correct tension - maintain the recommended minimum downhaul so that the sail's top releases pressure in gusts. This provides a smoother ride in choppy conditions and even better control and top speed.
