The narrow and modern S-Curve provides a direct feel and maximum control for wave sails, as well as smaller freeride and freestyle sails. As sails get larger, a wider M-Curve is needed, because too close a distance to the sail reduces control and power transfer – and simply feels wrong. Sailing at full power on wider boards requires an outward and downward body position, while holding the sail upright with the even wider L-Curve. The XL-Curve provides a comfortable sailing position on wider boards and best control for foiling and slalom racing.
