Invert-V

The Invert-V provides more lift and earlier planing. Thanks to this effect, we were able to change several other parts of the shape to improve overall performance without losing existing benefits.

Scoop-Rocker Line

The old rocker line didn't work with the Invert-V concept as it was unstable around the axis, so we replaced it with a new rocker line that harmonizes better with the concept.

Outline

Thanks to the hydrodynamic effect of the Invert-V concept, the board feels freer. This allowed us to extend and straighten the tail outline for more rail power under the back strap, so the rider can push upwind at lower speeds – especially valuable at the start and immediately after a jibe.

Deck Shape & Mast Track

With the board riding higher on the water, we reversed the deck shape to lower the mast track position and keep the rig's connection point at the same level as the previous model. This keeps the board controllable and makes the shape slightly stiffer. The deck at the downwind strap is angled for a more comfortable standing position.

Rail Shape

Larger rails provide a better upwind angle and less catching in choppy water. The combination of changes resulted in a stable riding position, which allowed us to shape the rail of the back foot a bit squarer so the rider can push harder upwind. The width of the back foot's rail can be trimmed with the adjustable wing system.

Fin Box / Fin Position

Thanks to the hydrodynamic effect of the Invert-V, the board glides more freely over the water, which allowed us to place the fin box at 9 cm. The extra surface behind the fin provides more lift and improves early planing and acceleration, while the board glides stably even in the strongest gusts. The integrated fin box handles the load peaks from modern foil-course racing without problems and also improves power transfer to the fin.

Strap Position

Since the board lies stable and controlled thanks to the more forward position of the fin box, we could balance the strap trim further back and move the pivot point further forward, so the board can turn sharper upwind and improve the upwind angle. All inserts have been moved back an additional 20 mm.

Cutouts

New geometry balances the entire new concept with Invert-V, fin box, and strap position. The stepped cutout reduces the number of nylon spacers and the mounting depth for the adjustable cutout plate, saving weight.

Adjustable Cutouts

The new adjustable cutout plates are designed to be reversible from left to right and used for lateral or longitudinal stabilization.

Adjustable Wings

The key feature for ISAF's "one board rule". It provides the advantage of being able to trim the board for all types of rider styles and sailing conditions. The tail/strap width can be adjusted from 86.5 cm up to 94.5 cm.
